For the calendar year of 2015 scores of children from infancy to college age were profoundly and positively impacted by the achievement of the 2014 goals set by the Kiwanis Board of Directors and membership. Allow Kiwanis to share with you the extent of what our club achieved.
The support of businesses and organizatons community-wide helped make it possible for Kiwanis to provide the following:
$200 to Kiwanis International Scholarship program
$200 to Kiwanis Indiana District Scholarship program
$350 to the Bloomington Junior Baseball League (Kiwanis team supported yearly since 1953)
$600 to Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS)
$600 to Indiana Operation: Military Kids
$400 Community Foundation Grant to Community Kitchen Backpack Buddies Program
$400 Community Foundation Grant to Shawnee Summer Theatre Children’s Program
$400 Community Foundation Grant to CODA Academy at Fairview Elementary
$125 to Bloomington Council on Community Accessibility
$200 to Miss IU Scholarship Program
$775 to Riley Hospital for Children
$1,000 to co-sponsor three K-Kids Clubs, Jackson Creek Builders Club, Bloomington Builders Club, Edgewood Key Club, Bloomington Key Club, Circle K at IU and Aktion Club at LifeDesigns
In addition, Kiwanis Club of Bloomington members assist the Bloomington, Ellettsville & Crestmont Boys & Girls Clubs through our annual Kiwanis/Boys & Girls Club Office Supply Day and annual individual member contributions to the Boys & Girls Club Man Up program.
