Meeting Schedule

Kiwanis Club of Bloomington meets every Thursday in the Indiana Memorial Union Building on 7th Street on the Indiana University campus.  Check the Daily Activity Boards upon arrival as the room location changes weekly.  Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and buffet is served.  Kiwanis business is conducted preceding weekly programs of interesting and educational speakers followed by a Q & A session.  Meetings adjourn promptly at 1 p.m.  Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the IMU or directly across 7th Street from Ernie Pyle Hall.  Bring your parking stub in for validation. Free for members. Lunch and parking are $15 for guests.

Miss IU, IU Bicentennial Representative  IU is in the spotlight this week.  Pageantry at IU, a student organization which we support, produces the Miss IU Scholarship Pageant which is an official preliminary to the Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant which provides the contestants for the Miss American Pageant.   The year’s Miss IU competition is February 18.  The newly crowned Miss IU will make her first official public appearance (class schedule permitting) at Kiwanis and give a brief description of her platform and her volunteer plans at IU and with Kiwanis for the coming year.    Following will be a presentation by Jeremy Hackerd, Project Manager at the IU Office of the Bicentennial.  He'll focus on the planned events from now through 2020.  He'll distribute a number of IU Bicentennial promo items as well as brochures and beef up our 50/50 raffle with some IU Bicentennial swag
